Verification is immediate, and once your Wickie account is verified, you can immediately access and utilize all Wickie features without delay.

Necessary criteria:

Account Management - Update Personal Details

If your identity document is about to expire or you are changing your place of residency, you will need to upload new documents to update your information. Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Go to Your Wickie Account: Log in to your Wickie account.
  2. Click on Settings: Navigate to the settings section.
  3. Click on Documents: Find and select the ‘Documents’ tab.
  4. Choose File and Upload: Click on ‘Choose File’ to select and upload the required document.

We will review your new documents within 3 business days.

Go to the “Settings” in your Wickie account.

Navigate to the “Username” section and click on the pencil icon.

Type desired username and click “Save”.

Go to the “Settings” in your Wickie account.

Locate the “Contact Information” section.

In the top right corner of the “Contact Information” section, find the correction symbol (represented by a pencil icon) and click on it.

After entering the new email address, you may be prompted to confirm the change by inserting a verification code sent to your phone.

Once you receive the verification code, enter it as instructed.

Finally, click the “Save” button to confirm and initiate the update of your email address.

To change your name, contact our support by blibking on the icon at the bottom right, and request a name change. Provide your full legal name and submit the necessary supporting documents. Our support agent will review the documents and handle the process of updating your name.

Ensure you have a valid, non-expired document available that shows your new name (such as Passport, National ID).

  • Finally, click the “Save” to confirm and initiate the update of your phone number.

Yes, you can change your country of residence on Wickie if your new country is included in Wickie’s supported countries. To confirm whether your new country of residence is supported, visit wickie.io. On the landing page, scroll down and click on “non supported countries.” If your new country is not on the list of non supported countries, you can proceed to change your country of residence by uploading new PoA document to your Wickie account.

Currency Account Details (IBAN, Account Number, and more)

Potential reasons for a negative balance:

  • An initial payment authorization was less than the final transaction amount, commonly seen in cases like public transportation, hotels, or car rental damage deposits.
  • Delayed card payments due to merchant connection issues, especially during situations like airplane payments. More details can be found in our FAQ.
  • Fees associated with Wickie plan subscriptions.
  • A card top-up return initiated by your bank at your request, often occurring when you dispute a top-up.

To identify the transaction causing a negative balance:

  • Check your transaction history and review all transactions on each currency account.
  • If there’s an unrecognized transaction leading to a negative balance, refer to our FAQ or customer support for assistance.

Consequences of a negative balance:

  • We attempt to rectify negative balances using funds from other currency pockets. If insufficient, we’ll prompt you to add money to your account the following day.
  • After 7 days, if the negative balance persists, we’ll initiate collection processes per our Terms & Conditions.

Leaving your account with a negative balance:

  • This may lead to reporting to debt registries, fraud prevention agencies, and debt collection agencies, potentially impacting your financial standing.

Definitely!  You can easily download your transaction statement by following these steps:

  • Go to Payments & Transfers on the landing page
  • Select History, then choose spent, received, or all transactions
  • Use sorting options to organize by status and date
  • Choose your preferred statement document type
  • Download your transactions in the selected format

Locked or closed accounts

We understand the frustration of being unable to access your funds. Unfortunately, this might be due to a security reason, such as suspicious activity or a password reset issue. To resolve this, you can try resetting your password, checking your email for a reset link, or reach out to our support team for further assistance.

To prevent your account from being locked again, regularly update your password, enable two-factor authentication (2FA), and monitor account activity. Additionally, avoid using the same password across multiple accounts, and change passwords for sensitive accounts frequently.

Reactivating an old account be more complex than creating a new one In rare cases, we may be able to reactivate it. However, our support team can help in limited scenarios. Please have your ID document ready and we’ll check the reactivation possibility and guide you through the process.

Providing the recipient’s home address is required to comply with EU regulations. This ensures the security and traceability of financial transactions, helping to prevent fraud and money laundering.

To perform international transfers, you need to open and use your personal IBAN account. This account allows you to send and receive funds globally with ease and efficiency, ensuring that your transactions are secure and comply with international banking standards.

Your transaction may be pending due to network processing times. The speed at which transactions are confirmed can vary based on network congestion and demand. Cryptocurrency transactions, in particular, are subject to confirmation by the blockchain network, which may experience delays during peak times. Rest assured, your transaction will be processed as soon as the network clears. You can check the transaction status on the platform or blockchain explorer for real-time updates. If the delay persists, reach out to our support team for assistance.

Limits depend on destination country and currency. Most currencies have no transfer limits. We’ll show you any exceptions in-app before you send money.

Worried about sending a high amount? When you send a high amount, we might need additional time to perform extra checks. However, there’s nothing to worry about. You can send larger sums of money in the same way you would with smaller amounts.

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area):

  • Transfer Speed: SEPA transfers usually take 1-2 business days to process.
  • Availability: operates only during regular banking hours and days.
  • Cost: generally low-cost or free within the Eurozone, but fees can vary depending on the bank.
  • Usage: suitable for non-urgent payments where the timing is not critical.

The 27 EU member states (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden) are all SEPA countries. Additionally, SEPA includes Switzerland, the UK, San Marino, Vatican City, Andorra, Monaco, and the three EEA countries: Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein. In these countries, Europe-wide standardized procedures for cashless payment transactions can be utilized.

SEPA Instant (SEPA Instant Credit Transfer):

  • Transfer Speed: SEPA Instant transfers are processed in real-time, typically within 10 seconds.
  • Availability: available 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
  • Cost: may incur higher fees compared to regular SEPA transfers due to the immediacy of the service, but it also varies by bank.
  • Usage: ideal for urgent payments that require immediate crediting to the recipient’s account.

SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) is a service available within the SEPA region, but not all SEPA countries or banks participate in this scheme. It’s important to note that not all banks within SEPA region countries may offer SEPA Instant transfers. It’s advisable to check with your specific bank to confirm if they support SEPA Instant Credit Transfers.

In summary, while both SEPA and SEPA Instant enable euro-denominated transfers within the SEPA region, SEPA Instant offers the advantage of real-time processing and 24/7 availability, making it suitable for urgent transactions. Regular SEPA transfers, on the other hand, are sufficient for non-urgent payments with a slightly longer processing time.

Transfer duration depends on banks, currencies and countries involved. Check your transaction history for updates. While transfer processing is complete on our end, the recipient’s bank may take additional time to credit funds.

Security & fraud

If you believe you’ve been scammed or your account may be at risk, it is recommended that you:

To report a transaction:

  • Go to Payments & Transfers and press the “History” button.
  • Find the transaction you would like to report, press on it and copy the transaction ID.
  • Contact customer support with the transaction ID.

Most deposits with Greatidee UAB (a.k.a. Wickie) are secured by the Lithuanian State Company “Deposit and Investment Insurance” (VĮ “Indėlių ir investicijų draudimas”). This ensures that if an insured deposit is not returned due to Greatidee UAB’s inability to meet its financial obligations, the Lithuanian State Company “Deposit and Investment Insurance” will provide deposit insurance compensation to depositors. The calculation of deposit insurance compensation considers the aggregation of all deposits held with Greatidee UAB. Please be aware that certain deposits may not be eligible for insurance.

Scammers are targeting Wickie customers through phone calls or text messages, pretending to be representatives from Wickie customer support, the Wickie fraud team, energy providers, or even government entities. They can manipulate caller ID to make it seem like the call is from a legitimate source.

What do scammers do?

  1. Impersonation: they pretend to be trusted entities to gain your trust.
  2. Manipulated caller ID: scammers can spoof phone numbers to appear as if the call is coming from Wickie or another legitimate source.
  3. Urgent requests: they may claim your money is in danger and instruct you to transfer funds or share personal information.

How can you avoid It?

  1. Be cautious with fund transfers: never make decisions about transferring funds based solely on a phone call.
  2. Use only the official app: Wickie will never ask you to download additional apps other than 2FA applications. If a caller insists on another app, end the call immediately.
  3. Verify caller identity: only log into your Wickie account if you initiated the call and have verified the caller’s identity.
  4. Never share sensitive information: do not provide passcodes, passwords, PINs, SMS codes, card details, or any sensitive personal information to unknown callers.
  5. Confirm claims with customer support: always contact the customer support of the alleged entity directly to verify the authenticity of the call before taking any action.

What Wickie employees will never say on a call:

  • They will never tell you your money is in danger or ask you to transfer funds to a “safe account”.
  • They won’t provide account details or pressure you to move money elsewhere.
