In the world of motorsport, every millisecond counts. For Maximilian Günther, one of Germany’s most successful Formula E drivers, this is both a daily reality and a challenge. In an interview with Wickie.io, he gives exclusive insights into his life as a professional athlete, talks about mental strength, his fascination with technology, and why he made a conscious decision to become an ambassador for the investment platform Wickie.io.

Günther was already racing karts at the age of six – and speed has been his calling ever since. Today, he races fully electric cars on iconic street circuits such as Monaco and Rome. Formula E is considered a showcase for technological innovation in motorsport – and for Günther, it’s the perfect playing field: “I’m fascinated by the combination of precision, technology, and the constant pursuit of performance. It’s like Wickie – it’s all about efficiency, the future, and innovation.”

The fact that he was able to celebrate victories in Formula E in his mid-20s – including his first major success in Santiago de Chile in 2020 – was a childhood dream come true. “That moment will stay with me forever,” he says, looking back. But despite all his successes, Günther remains grounded. He emphasizes how important mental preparation is for maximum focus on the track: “I’ve been working with a mental coach for many years. For me, it’s not just a tool for race day, but a philosophy of life.”
With this inner clarity, the decision to support Wickie.io as an ambassador was an easy one. The connection to the platform is not purely business-related—it is personal: “I have known the founder Alex for a long time and trust him very much. When asked about young people’s possible reservations about finance or crypto investments, Günther says, “Trust is the key. I am convinced that digital investing is the future – but it has to be simple, secure, and transparent. Wickie combines exactly that.”
He also lives and breathes technology in his free time: simulator training, data analysis, functional training – the off-season in August is his only break of the year. But even then, he remains committed to progress: “Formula E is still in its infancy, so there is so much potential. And the same applies to the crypto world.”
Finally, Günther reveals something close to his heart: the auction of his helmet from the season finale in London in aid of the IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). “I am an animal lover. With this campaign, I want to give something back – for the environment, nature, and animals.”
His outlook for the future is clear: “My team DS Penske and I had a strong season – with highlights and challenges. But in 2026, we’re going to really go for it. Our goal: world champion.” And anyone who listens to Günther quickly realizes that this man means business – whether on the race track or when it comes to building a secure financial future.
